Summer has just started in my area. It may be a touch late compared to everyone else, but whatever. I'm leaving for Alaska on the 18th, so if there's any die-hard fans in the Juneau area, drop me one and maybe we can get in touch.
I got two new recordings online. One is from a long time ago on our church retreat, and another one is from Aaron’s birthday last week. They’re both relatively long. I haven’t listened to the retreat (Shrine Mont) one straight through, but I was at the other one, so I know its pretty funny. Honestly, who wouldn’t enjoy listening to people strip for Monopoly money at 2:30 in the morning? Check out the recording section to listen to these.
Something that hasn’t been touched on lately: Team progress. We’re in the process of writing a script. About what, we can’t tell you yet. It’s a secret. What’s not a secret is our work on normal maps:
Jean’s also working on making our good friend Master Chief a little more life like (ie, dulling the armor edges, putting in some burn marks, etc):
More information is sure to come. However, I won’t be back until the 25th, so there may not be any major updates. Until then, hope everyone has a great summer!

There's no real weekly update this week, as I once again have been too busy to talk to most of the team a ton. Continue to check our forums for updates.

This weekly update shouldn't be too long, as it's nearly 12 in the morning my time, and I've gotten a grand total of 20 hours of sleep in the last 5 days.
I haven't talked to the team much recently, as I've been away most of the time. Most of them, for some odd reason, haven't joined the forum. I don't quite know why myself, but I'll bash the idea at them some more.
My trip to the big apple was fairly awesome. If I get any new information within the next day or two I'll add it on to here.

I suppose this will be my version of a “weekly update” for everyone.
The Site:
I’ve done a couple of revisions. The banner’s file size was a little excessive, so I both sized it down and added some better compression to drop the file size. I also added the little “Home of the AJAMA Movie Team” thingy. I added the old team page and concept page, now available from the Nav Menu on the side. I also added better compression to that image. I fixed a couple of the broken links as well.
The rest of the team:
We’re in the process of deciding on a script. We have bits and pieces of scripts and ideas, some story board snippets, and some concept art, but haven’t all decided in unison on a single script. That should no longer be the case by the end of the week. The other thing we’re working on is getting a single model to work off of. Speaking of models, this may be a good time to mention something else: NO. I will not give anyone a copy of the models. In fact, I don’t even have them myself. Jean won’t give them to you. Ted won’t give them to you. None of us will. Speaking of sharing material, the team development server is online, making our exchange of material far easier.
On a side note, I'll be in New York City May 25-28. If anyone lives around there, drop me a note in my inbox (admin@ajama.org).

So surgery number one went ok. She leaves for number two 6 AM tomorrow.
After a long hiatus, and what seemed like death, the team is slowly reforming itself. The models have been improved to a state beyond anyone’s wildest dreams. Normal maps are slowly being added (well, quickly), and they’re turning out simply amazing. I’ll upload some screens from Jean (and try to get him onto the forums) as soon as possible.

Let me start out by saying this: No, I haven't gotten the links fixed yet. I can't do it right now, as I'm on my sisters computer.
Anyway, on to the real message of this. There aren't going to be a ton of updates for a little bit. Its nearing the end of our school year, and theres some really major tests going on. If that isn't enough for you, there is more; my grandmother's condition has been growing gradually worse. She went in for some checks today, and I'm not yet sure if she had to go and have surgery. So, to put it bluntly, I'm going to be spending alot of time with her, as I don't know how much longer she'll be around.

Alright, as many of you know, there is a problem with some of our content. In particular, 5 links to images are broken, along with the link to the video. The other material may have some problems in certain browsers to do to the space in the file name. In the next couple of days I will be fixing this up, along with transferring the pictures that are still hosted on another server over to our current one (ie, images linked to imageshack.us, those from our really old Cox site, etc.). Thanks for you patience as we get our material back and fully online. Oh, and don’t forget to visit the forums!!

All of the old news from the other site is in an archive. This archive can be easily accessed from the bottom of the main news page. It goes from December 01 (the day the site opened) up to April 29 (the server switch).

So we’re back up and running on our shiny new Linux server! Our forum is up (a good one!), and we have a new template, custom designed and created by yours truly. As for the rest of the material (other sections, news posts, etc.), as soon as I’m able to transfer them over to our new template and upload them they’ll be up and running.
